About the music:

The music is a mix of my own compositions, pieces by Bill Evans, and a selection of standards — some well-known, some less so — all in fresh arrangements that gave us space to truly listen and respond to each other. It was one of the most rewarding musical experiences of my career to record this album and I’m so happy I get to share it with the world.

Sullivan Fortner is one of the most celebrated pianists working in jazz today. A Grammy Award-winning artist, he has garnered international praise as both a leader and a fierce collaborator — previously the regular pianist in Roy Hargrove's band, and most recently the winner of the Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album for Southern Nights.

Jorge Rossy needs no introduction to jazz lovers. Internationally recognised as one of the most influential drummers of his generation, his sideman work spans over 180 recordings — including a decade with the Brad Mehldau Trio — alongside names like Wayne Shorter, Charlie Haden, and Lee Konitz.

Richard Andersson is a Copenhagen-based bassist and composer, a central figure on the Nordic jazz scene renowned for his wide-ranging artistic output and cross-border collaborations.
