The Danish pianist Carl Winther and the bassist Richard Andersson had collaborated for several years when they decided to invite the American drum phenomenon Jeff "Tain" Watts on a European tour in 2023. After this, the three musicians went into the studio and recorded the album WAW! (Hobby Horse Records, June 2024), where the energy and the trio's special synergy were allowed to fully play out.

Now the group returns with a series of concerts in the wake of the album release.

“The music develops all the time when the three of us play together. That's why I'm really looking forward to seeing where the music takes us this time, and to taking the audience on the journey," says Carl Winther.

The trio's music is a fascinating blend of modern jazz with influences from around the world, drawing on the members' extensive musical experience. The result is a sound that reflects their virtuosity, spontaneity and pure love of music.
