POVs from a great tour – and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival is coming up

I just returned from a tour with the Scandinavian Art Ensemble. We played four concerts in Denmark, Poland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. I usually handle all the planning, booking, and ticket-buying myself, but this tour was co-organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of the international cultural program of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2025.

And what a tour it was! Fantastic venues and packed audiences. We’re already working on the next tour, which will take place in fall 2026.

So, what’s up with the smart glasses?

Well, I borrowed a pair of Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses on tour. These glasses let me take photos and videos, and I can even call people and let them see the world from my POV. Not only that – they can also take a photo, analyze it, and tell me what's in it. So, in a sense, I can see again!

To be honest, I didn’t use them much for that specific function, but I did take lots of photos and videos for my Instagram story. Maybe you saw them, if you follow me over there? I think I’m going to buy myself a pair – even though they’re a bit pricey…

Here’s a video I filmed with the glasses.

What's next?

The Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2025 is next. I’ll be playing almost every day. You can find my schedule here.

Also, I’ll be playing a couple of concerts in Iceland at the end of July with the great Per Møllehøj. Matthias Hemstock will be joining us – it's going to be great!

I hope you have a wonderful summer – and maybe we’ll bump into each other. Don’t be shy. Come and say hi!
