I’m a Copenhagen-based bass player and composer playing modern jazz. I’ve been playing music since I lost my eye sight as a teenager. As a bandleader I’ve released several albums with Danish and international musicians such as Oskar Gudjonsson (IS), Rudi Mahall (DE), Kasper Tranberg (DK), Jerry Bergonzi (US), Ra-Kalam Bob Moses (US), Tony Malaby (US) and Bill McHenry (US).

What’s my story?
I was 14 when I lost my eyesight and I’ve been playing music ever since. I’ve played with big international stars as well as the best jazz musicians in Denmark. In recent years I’ve started to explore how our senses and the loss of one of them can be translated into music. My solo project U·Synligwhere I improvised solo pieces on my double bass based on audio descriptions of visual art works was nominated for a Danish Music Awards Jazz for a prize as the best cross-aesthetic production in 2022.
