I just send an important application to Kunststyrelsen yesterday. If I’ll get the grand, it will help me to expand my international network and kik off my international career over the two next years, so I’m really much hoping that!!!
I’m playing 3 jam openers this munth. The first one tonight at Jazzhus Montmartre with the Boston pianist, Kevin Herris and Niclas Campagnol on drums. Tomorrow I play the jam opener at La Fontaine with Jesper Lovdal and Andreas Fryland, and on Monday it’s at Dexter in Odense with Keven Herris and Anders Mogensen. Other than that, I’m going to be in the jury for the young jazz competition at Giant Steps in Svendborg, which I’m looking very much forward to. I didn’t win when I attended the competition back in 2007, but I’m happy that ‘I didn’t stop playing because of that!
The Intuition tour in April looks like it is going to be four gigs in Copenhagen, Odense Aarhus and Aalborg. It’s going to be great to play the first tour after our release in april last year!
Hope to see you out there!
I’m looking forward to a slow start on 2013. I have to small gigs and one recording, so I’ll have time to rehearse and compose, which I don’t do too often… I’m also going to use a lot of time to book bothe the summer festivals and the fall tours, which I know are going to be some fun tours.
I’ll try to put out the recording with George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi and Bob Moses already this summer, and maybe we will get to play at CPH jazz festival.
As for now I’m planning on touring with Phil Markowitz and Anders Mogensen in the end of November. If everything works out well, we will have a special guest for you, but more about that later…
In December I’m planning on touring wiht my band, Udu, in Poland. That is going to be the first time we will play more than two gigs in a row, so I really hope it works out!
I wish all of you a great star of 2013!
Looking forward to some fun gigs this month! First a weekend with Anders Mogensen/Simon Krebs/Richard Andersson trio Friday and then Nikolaj Hess/ Richard Andersson duo and Richard Andersson quartet feat Bob Rockwell, Simon Toldam and Andreas Fryland tomorrow.
The 15th I’ll go on a small tour with the two fantastic german horn players, Rudi Mahall and Henrik Walsdorff and my old friend, Kasper Tom, on drums. We are playing in Copenhagen, Odense and Århus. Please go and check out the calender for more details.
Hope to see you out there!!!
